“I feel NHS 24 staff appreciate the contribution made by the volunteers.”
Jane Turner, PPF member
NHS 24 is committed to involving the public in service developments. There are a number of ways that you can get involved and help us achieve the best standards of care, including:
PFPI is about making a difference. Sometimes a small change to health services makes a big difference to a patient or carer's experience.
At NHS 24, we are keen to learn from working alongside people who use our services. We believe that by working together and creating strong links between NHS 24, patients and the public, we are able to provide the best standard of care to the people of Scotland.
There are many benefits to partnership working, including:
Once involved, we will ensure that you are fully supported and that your contribution is recognised.
It's not only members of our Public Partnership Forum who have a say in what we do. We involve members of the public in many ways, including the development of our new Patient Focus and Public Involvement Strategy 2012 to 2015.
Our Patient Focus and Public Involvement Strategy sets out how we plan to involve patients and the public in the development of our service from 2012 to 2015.
We have recently retained our Investing in Volunteers (IiV) accreditation for involving volunteers in our work.
This is one of a number of initiatives we take part in to support our equality, diversity and public involvement work.
