BSL | Listen

Like any type of flu, people can die from swine flu if they develop complications, like pneumonia.

People have died however the symptoms of people with swine flu in other countries appear to be mild.

It also looks like early treatment with antivirals (like Tamiflu) are helpling people to get better.  in the UK there is enough antivirals to treat around 50% of the population if they were to become ill.
